Saudi Arabia Warns: No Hajj without official permit, beware of scam campaigns

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has reiterated that only pilgrims with an official Hajj permit—issued through the “Nusuk” platform linked to the unified digital platform “Tasreeh”—will be allowed to perform Hajj in 1446 AH (2025). Any attempt to perform Hajj without this permit is a clear violation of regulations.

The ministry emphasized that no type of visa, except the official Hajj visa, grants permission for the pilgrimage. It also warned against fraudulent campaigns circulating on social media, falsely offering housing and transport services in the holy sites.

Citizens and residents are urged to report suspicious campaigns or violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 elsewhere in the Kingdom. As part of preparations for Hajj, the ministry reminded that the deadline for Umrah visa holders to leave Saudi Arabia is Tuesday, 1 Dhul Qa’dah 1446 AH (April 29, 2025).
