The World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded 280 measles-related deaths in Yemen since the start of 2024, alongside 33,000 suspected cases.
The country is also battling outbreaks of preventable diseases like polio, cholera, diphtheria, and dengue fever, compounded by severe food insecurity affecting nearly half of households.
According to the global agency, Yemen remains in a Level 3 health emergency, the highest on the WHO scale.
