Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: If real Islam, path of Ahl al-Bayt reaches people worldwide, they will follow it

The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Saturday, the 10th of Jumadi al-Awwal. In this session, just like the previous meetings, the supreme Marja answered the questions of the attendees about various jurisprudence issues.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi mentioned a narration from Imam Redha regarding the obligation to disseminate the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, which says: [May God have mercy on a servant who revives our cause,] and when Aba-Salt asks the Imam how this important task can be done, he hears this answer, [learn our sciences and teach them to the people, if only the people knew the beauty of our words, they would follow us.]

The Marja then explained: Imam Redha has emphasized this issue and the necessity of disseminating the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them. Here the word “naas”, meaning people, is used, which means that it is important that the virtues of the words and speech of the Messenger of God and his pure family reach all the people of the world.

His Eminence further emphasized: If these facts are conveyed to the people, and what the Messenger of God and the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, have said is communicated to the people of the world, and they become aware of it, they will definitely accept Islam.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi then discussed another narration, which says: Soon, a time will come for the people when there will be nothing left of the Qur’an but its written form, and of Islam but its name. He said: In this narration, it is emphasized that in the end of times, true Islam will not be implemented, and the Islam which some non-Muslims hate today, is not the real Islam, which has caused them to hate it, just like an unreal medicine that is given to a sick person, and does not cure him.

He further emphasized: This version of Islam, which the westerners and some people of the world have hated, is not the real Islam, and only bears the name of Islam. So, if the real Islam is conveyed to the people of the world, and they come to learn the religion and the history of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), they will follow the religion of Islam and the path of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
