Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, called on Wednesday for several European countries to cooperate with Iraq by taking back their citizens who are being held in Al-Hol Camp, which houses the families of ISIS members in Syria.
This appeal came during a meeting with Croatia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Ivan Anušić, at the Croatian Ministry of Defense in Zagreb.
Hussein addressed regional issues, warning of the dangers posed by the expansion of the conflict in Gaza and Lebanon, and its potential impact on security and stability in the region, warning of the global economic repercussions of this conflict.
For his part, the Croatian Defense Minister expressed his eagerness to enhance coordination with Iraq and announced his intention to make an official visit to Baghdad soon to meet with Iraqi government officials and discuss military matters of mutual interest.
