In commemoration of 1920 Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid describes it as “Noble Legacy”

In a message marking the 105th anniversary of the 1920 Iraqi Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi described the event as a pivotal moment in Iraq’s history, referring to it as a “noble legacy.”

The revolution, which resisted British colonialism, left a lasting impact despite its heavy toll in lives.

The Supreme Religious Authority emphasized the revolution’s success, attributing it to divine support and the blessings of the Imams, particularly Imam Mahdi, may Almighty God hasten his honourable reappearance.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi frequently urges the importance of drawing inspiration from the values of the 1920 Revolution, highlighting their continued relevance to Iraq’s present and future.
