Representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Canada emphasizes importance of social awareness

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Saleh Sibuyeh, Director of the Imam Shirazi World Centre and representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, emphasized the importance of cooperation between Islamic and cultural centres and the community in solving societal problems and maintaining brotherhood and peaceful coexistence.

This statement was made during Sheikh Sibuyeh’s participation in the “Solidarity and Social Awareness” conference organized by the Quebec Muslim Cemeteries Association in Canada.

The conference was held at Wilfred Bastien Park in the Saint-Leonard area of Quebec, attended by representatives from 13 Muslim and non-Muslim community centres, as well as the mayor of Saint-Leonard and several city officials, with around 2,000 participants, both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Sheikh Sibuyeh explained that the conference followed a series of meetings involving cultural and social institutions, aimed at discussing social challenges and threats facing citizens, particularly the youth.

He noted that the conference included several speeches focused on enhancing community solidarity and raising awareness in cultural, religious, and social fields, with an emphasis on the role of citizens and families in supporting these efforts.
