Representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in India stresses importance of maintaining Imam Hussein’s rituals
The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq al-Shirazi, in India, Hujjat al-Islam Sayed Saif Abbas, emphasized the importance of continuing to commemorate the rituals of the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, and ensuring that the principles of his revolution remain alive in the hearts of believers.
Sayed Saif’s statement was made at the conclusion of mourning ceremonies for the months of Muharram and Safar, as he delivered a special address during a religious gathering in the Chowk area of Lucknow, India.
In his speech, Sayed Saif Abbas highlighted “the importance of understanding the great responsibility upon Shia Muslims in promoting the true path of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, which is the authentic continuation of the message of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.”
The Grand Marja’s representative also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all those who participated in commemorating the mourning of Imam Hussain and his grandfather, Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon them, conveying to them the “greetings and du’as of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi for their efforts in keeping the sacred Hussaini rituals alive.”
