Tens of thousands of Shias in Dearborn commemorate Holy Arba’een of Imam Hussein
Around 30,000 people from the Shia community in Dearborn, Michigan, participated in a unified mourning march to commemorate the Holy Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Shia Waves Agency documented video footage of the mourning march, which began on the morning of the 20th of Holy Safar. The march proceeded through the city’s major streets, announcing grief and sorrow on this painful occasion.
The participants carried flags and chanted in the name of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, reaffirming their support for his great divine event, extending their heartfelt condolences to the Holy Prophet and the Infallible Imams, peace be upon them, on the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
They emphasized that “the Cause of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) will remain in the hearts of the believers and the lovers, who will never abandon its support or fail to introduce it to the world.”
The participants pointed out that “Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, paved the way for the free people with his pure blood, rejecting slavery, injustice, and tyranny, and striving to support the oppressed and the downtrodden.”
“The remembrance of Imam, the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, always reminds us of our responsibilities and commitments towards our religion, our community, and our nation. We will continue to commemorate it for our elevation and to spread the message of true Islam throughout the world”, the participants said.
