Discussions during the visit focused on strategic partnerships and exploring new opportunities within the halal sector, aiming to boost economic ties and the reach of halal products, the source mentioned.
Trade between Malaysia and Russia has shown consistent growth, especially in halal-certified food products. In 2022, halal exports from Malaysia to Russia reached RM 465.7 million, a significant increase from the previous year. Additionally, Tatarstan’s halal food production has been on the rise, contributing to the region’s agricultural output and reflecting the stable growth of the halal market.
