Imam Ali Shrine Begins Shading Surroundings of Holy Courtyard in Preparation for Arbaeen Visitors
In preparation for the millions expected to visit the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, Imam Ali Shrine has commenced shading the open areas surrounding the holy courtyard.
The plan includes shading the external roads around the sacred site, including the outer courtyards of the Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). Additionally, the shading project extends to the area between the stations of Safi Safa and Zain Al-‘Abidin (peace be upon him).
Engineer Mustafa Mahboubah, head of the engineering and technical department at the Alawi Shrine, stated, “Our teams have begun shading wide areas of the streets leading to the holy shrine, continuing the work initiated in the previous phase.”
Mahboubah noted that several key streets around the sacred courtyard are being shaded, including al-Rasul Street, Imam Zain Al-Abidin Street, Imam Al-Sadiq Street, Sheikh Al-Tusi Street, Jawahiri Street, and the al-Sur Street, in addition to the courtyard of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her).
He highlighted that the shaded areas have now exceeded 44,000 square meters, with ongoing work in the streets nearby to ensure maximum comfort for visitors.
These measures are part of Holy Imam Ali Shrine’s efforts to provide a comfortable and safe environment for pilgrims during the Arbaeen observance, aiming to meet the needs of visitors and deliver the best possible services during this significant occasion.
