India: Mob Violence Claims Life of Young Muslim in Pakur

In a shocking incident in Jugigarhiya village, Pakur, India, a 21-year-old Muslim named Samiul Sheikh was allegedly beaten to death and strangled after being accused of mobile theft, Muslim Mirror reported yesterday.

The violent attack led to the detention of three suspects: Suraj Marandi, Anil Hembram, and Babudhan Murmu, following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, Saidul Shaikh.

Police officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha confirmed that the mob violence resulted in Samiul’s death, prompting swift action from law enforcement. After a post-mortem examination, his body was returned to his grieving family.
