Shirazi-affilaited centres hold Majalis to commemorate painful tragedy of Karbala
The World Imam Shirazi Centre, one of the centres affiliated to office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Montreal, Canada, has hosted dozens of the Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to establish the Husseini mourning ceremonies during the first ten days of Muharram 1446 A.H.
Amongst the esteemed keynote speakers at these gatherings are representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, Hujjat al-Islam Wal-Muslimin Sheikh Saleh Sibouyeh and Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Musa al-Fali.
Also, in Melbourne, Australia, Hussainiya of Bayt al-Hussein has begun its ten-day commemoration to revive the Hussaini mourning rituals.
Following congregational prayers, Holy Quran recitation and Ziyarat Ashura, a sermon is delivered in English by the preacher Ahmed Issa and in Arabic by Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Abu Alaa al-Mansouri.
The participating believers conclude their Majalis with latmiyah (chest-beating ritual) and the recitation of poignant poems in honor of Ahlulbayt, delivered by the Husseini reciters, Ahmed al-Asadi and Abu Ahmed al-Najafi.
