According to the World Health Organization, cholera cases have been registered in 24 countries since the beginning of the year 2023, with above-normal death rate, claiming one life in every 100 cases.

WHO officer in charge of cholera fight has stated that the increase in cholera cases stem from poverty, conflicts and climate changes and the wave of refugees.

Cholera is an infectious diarrheal disease specific to humans, which is very fatal if not prevented and treated in time and properly.

This disease is mostly seen in hot and humid places and in all months of the year, especially from May to November.
