The Freemuslim Association, an international anti-violence organization based in the US, released a message yesterday Wednesday, congratulating workers across the world on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day, also known as Labour Day.
In its message seen by Shia Waves Agency, the organization expressed its absolute solidarity with workers in their legitimate demands, including improving their conditions and ensuring their human rights guaranteed by divine laws and statutory regulations.
The organization also called for the necessity to “improve the conditions of workers around the world and work for their prosperity,” calling upon governments, political systems, and legislative bodies in the Middle East to “enact laws that better consider the interests of workers, especially regarding the right to work and mobility between countries without obstacles”.
Freemuslim emphasized the importance of: “the activation of health and social insurance for workers in accordance with international laws, and to follow the practices and traditions endorsed by Islamic law, which mandate the protection of workers’ rights during and after work, by ensuring their retirement rights.”
