Swedish start-up Modvion launches world’s tallest wooden wind turbine

In a groundbreaking move towards eco-friendly wind power, Swedish start-up Modvion has successfully erected the world’s tallest wooden wind turbine, reaching an impressive height of 150 meters, BBC reported.

This innovative project challenges the dominance of steel in turbine construction and signals a promising future for sustainable energy solutions.

The turbine, located just outside Gothenburg, has recently commenced operations, supplying electricity to the Swedish grid and powering approximately 400 homes with its 2-megawatt generator.
