Shia Muslims revive first of blessed month of Rajab in Holy Karbala

Large numbers of Shia Muslims visited on Saturday—first day of the blessed month of Rajab—the holy city of Karbala, where they performed pilgrimage to Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them.

Shia Waves Agency reporter said: “Crowds of pilgrims from various provinces of the country, as well as Arab and foreign pilgrims, revived the first day of the blessed month of Rajab in the holy city of Karbala, which coincided with the birth anniversary of Imam al-Baqir, peace be upon him.”

He pointed out that “the atmosphere in Holy Karbala was at a high level in terms of the services provided and the security protection, and the believers were keen to revive the special visit to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on this great day.”
