General Assembly of Shia Scholars in Australia discusses various issues to better serve Shia community
The General Assembly of Shia Scholars in Newport, New South Wales, Australia, held a new meeting to discuss a number of topics on the Islamic and Shia spheres.
In a statement published on its official website and viewed by Shia Waves Agency The General Assembly said: “The meeting was attended by members of the Assembly and a number of experts and researchers in Shia religious affairs, to discuss the most important issues on the Islamic and Shia spheres.”
The Assembly added: “Among the topics discussed were the situation of Muslims in European countries and the United Kingdom, and their needs on various levels.”
It explained: “The attendees also raised the most important topics that concern the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, at the level of education, health, and the commemoration of the Husseini rituals, and to put further efforts to serve the Shia community.”
The Assembly emphasized “the importance of education and providing the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, with sciences and knowledge, especially those of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, based on the Holy Prophet’s hadith, ‘Seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman’.”
