Washington Post: Chinese Muslims face cultural genocide every day

The Washington Post published an article by commentator Fred Hayat, stressing that campaigns to destroy mosques and Muslim cemeteries continue unabated in western China.

"Those who were not arrested were forced to violate the holy month of Ramadan by eating, drinking and smoking, and were prevented from praying, studying the Quran or traveling to Hajj," the writer says.

"What is amazing about crime against humanity is that China has been able to suppress the news coverage of what is happening in all Muslim areas," he added.

"The centuries-old Islamic cemetery in Hotan has been transformed into what looked like a pile of dust," Hayat said.
