Muslims contribute to keep Britain’s streets, parks clean

Young Muslims from Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire joined members of the local community in a cleaning campaign across Britain’s streets and parks. 

 

Young Muslims from Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire joined members of the local community in a cleaning campaign across Britain’s streets and parks. 

Youths from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) Scunthorpe chapter took part in the initiative for the Great British Spring Clean campaign, organized by Keep Britain Tidy on Cliff Closes Road and Kingsway Gardens. 

The initiative is one of many charitable and community initiatives carried out by the Muslim community across the spring like blood donation sessions, charity collections, children’s hospital and nursing home visits and homeless feeding sessions. 

Dr. Rana Maqbool, AMYA Leader for Scunthorpe said, “Cleaning the streets of Scunthorpe presents us with an opportunity to become better Muslims as cleanliness is an integral part of our faith. We are peace loving British Muslims and will continue to do all we can to serve our local community as best we can and wherever there is a need.”
