Peaceful protest was staged in Zaria, calling for the immediate release of Sheikh Zakzaky and his followers. Earlier, a similar protest was held in Damaturu, Yobe state.
In the same context, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) has stated that the Nigerian army is not telling the truth by claiming that only seven people were killed during a clash between both parties in Zaria, Kaduna state.
According to a statement issued by Ibrahim Musa, President of the Media Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, about 750 persons are missing based on their records. The Movement believes that the missing persons were killed by the army or are illegally detained by military authority.
