World Health Organization: Iraq adopts transparency in coronavirus that many countries lack

The World Health Organization, on Sunday, praised the transparency adopted by Iraq in declaring infections with coronavirus, stressing that the transparency of Iraq is lacking in many countries.

The representative of the organization in Iraq, Adham Ismail, said in a televised interview, that Iraq adopts transparency in announcing infections from the coronavirus, unlike many countries that deliberately hide the infections and deaths of the virus.

Ismail added that Iraq was able during the past period to secure adequate respiratory devices despite its exceptional circumstances and conditions, pointing out that the report issued by the World Health Organization praised Iraq’s actions in dealing with the virus. 

In regards to a cure for the virus, Ismail stressed that it is impossible to find a cure for the virus before next winter.
