The Shia cleric Sayyed Abdullah Sharaf al-Din, may Allah bless his soul, has passed away after many years of worship and religious studies.
His body was mourned on Sunday evening in front of his home in Tyre, Lebanon.
Sayyed Abdullah Sharaf al-Din, may Allah bless his soul, is the son of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Abd al-Hussein Sharaf al-Din.
He studied under his father, in Jaafari School in Tyre until the year 1941, the introductions of the Hawza (seminary) lessons, and in 1954 he traveled to the holy city of Qom to pursue advanced studies. He returned to his homeland in 1969, where he spent his remaining writing and preaching.
Among his most prominent works are the three-volume Shia encyclopedias.
