Warith al-Anbiya University of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine intends to open a faculty of Islamic sciences.
According to the university media, a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education visited the university to view the new buildings and classrooms of the faculty.
Dr. Sana al-Zoubaidi, committee chairperson, said the faculty would include two departments: the Department of Quran Sciences and the Department of Jurisprudence and its Origins.
Al-Zoubaidi praised the university's potential of human resources and spacious classrooms with large capacities that are equipped with all modern educational supplies.
After the visit, the Ministry of Higher Education stated that the university meets all the requirements to open this faculty.
This Islamic Sciences Faculty will be the fifth faculty alongside the Faculties of Law, Nursing, Engineering, Administration and Economics.
Warith al-Anbiya University of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine was inaugurated on September 2017 amid a formal and public presence.
