Virginia Islamic School Commemorates Holy Arbaeen
In conjunction with the Arbaeen commemorations taking place in Iraq and around the world, students at Virginia Islamic School in USA held a solemn ceremony to honor the Master of the Martyrs, Imam al-Hussein, peace be upon him.
The organizers of the event have stated that the initiative was aimed at conveying the mourning culture of Shia Muslims, along with its customs and traditions. They hope that through this approach, they can familiarize Shia students living in America with the memory and goals of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The ceremony invited parents from diverse nationalities to set up Mawakib (service units), allowing students to learn about mourning traditions and the observance of Arbaeen in various cultures. The initiative also seeks to deepen the connection of Shia students in America with the legacy and values of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
