Holy Karbala-based Fatima al-Zahra Foundation gifts bedroom furniture to newlyweds

In conjunction with the blessed birth anniversary of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Fatima al-Zahra Cultural Foundation in Holy Karbala, Iraq, announced on Wednesday its new initiative to support young people who are getting married.

The foundation’s director, Sheikh Ali al-Mujahid, told Shia Waves Agency that “the foundation, as part of its continuous charitable activities, is preparing to offer gifts to newlyweds.”

He added that “the initiative includes donating complete bedroom furniture to newly married young people in the holy city of Karbala,” adding that “this initiative is launched in conjunction with the blessed birthday of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her.”

Sheikh al-Mujahid emphasized that “this humanitarian initiative and other philanthropic activities are based on the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, and his continuous confirmation on the importance of facilitating marriage procedures, especially for the young generation.”

He also confirmed that “the foundation continues to hold charitable, medical, cultural, and religious activities and programs in Iraq and Iran, in support of the noble Shia families to reduce their burden in light of the difficult living conditions.”
