Pakistan: 2 soldiers killed in operation targeting militants in North Waziristan

Two soldiers were martyred while one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and militants in North Waziristan District of Pakistan, a local military media confirmed on Monday.

The operation on Monday was part of a “Sanitization” military campaign to neutralize any terrorists found in the area, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) added.

Terrorist activities have been on the rise in Pakistan. Last week, a Pakistan Army officer and three soldiers were killed in an intelligence-based operation. On Nov 3, 17 security personnel were martyred in separate incidents of ambush, bomb blasts and security operation.
