Team of Saudi motorcyclists arrive in Holy Karbala to perform pilgrimage to Imam Hussein

A team of Saudi motorcyclists arrived in the holy city of Karbala to perform pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, after a journey of about 14,000 kilometres.

One of the team members, Amer Al-Wailey, said in an interview with Shia Waves Agency that “the team includes a number of motorcyclists of the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them,” adding that “they traveled to several countries on their motorcycles, reaching the city of Abi al-Ahrar.”

He explained that “the team also includes the team of celebrities of Qatif and the United Arab Gulf team, in addition to travelers from Iraq and one from the UAE.”

He pointed out that the goal of visiting Iraq is to “declare love for this country and this good land, as well as the desire to explore, discover, and learn about the culture of the ancient Iraqi people.”

Al-Wailey continued, “We received an indescribable reception. We did not stay in apartments or hotels, but the hospitable residents of Holy Karbala hosted us in their homes.”
