Free Muslim Organization calls on Islamic countries to include anti-violence principles in curriculum

The Free Muslim Organization called on Islamic countries to include principles of rejecting violence and extremism in the curriculum, to create a generation that carries the message of peace, love, and tolerance to the whole world.

The organization said in a message released on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year: “On this great occasion, the Organization directs its message to the ministries of education in Arab and Islamic countries, demanding that they include in the curriculum the principles of rejecting violence, extremism, hatred, and racism”.

It added that “these noble contents must be present in the teaching and educational curricula in line with the true teachings of Islam.”

The organization empathized that “responding to this call represents a very important measure, especially after most of the Islamic and Arab countries have been badly targeted by violence, terrorism, intellectual and religious extremism, and racism.”

The Non-Violence Organization stressed that “instilling the principles of forgiveness, tolerance, and compassion through the curriculum is the best way to create societies that are largely free of disasters, crises, and social conflict.”

The Organization concluded its message by stressing that “the principles of peaceful coexistence are no less important than other sciences that students acquire during their academic studies, but they may be more important than other basic branches of knowledge.”
