Nigerian Church recognizes Muslim woman for humanitarian contribution
The General Overseer of the Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry in Kaduna, Pastor Yohanna Buru, has expressed recognition for a Muslim woman who has made significant contributions to humanity and the nation’s development.
During an event on Monday in Kaduna, Pastor Buru extended his gratitude and admiration to Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani for her remarkable efforts in promoting peace and inter-religious tolerance within the state.
Pastor Buru highlighted Mrs. Tijjani’s tireless work in providing assistance to victims of banditry, kidnapping, terrorism, and ethno-religious political conflicts.
He commended her for generously providing clothing and food to hundreds of Christian widows and orphans during Christmas and New Year celebrations across various churches for over a decade.
Pastor Buru emphasized her unwavering dedication to serving humanity. He also acknowledged her positive impact on the lives of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and prison inmates through the distribution of educational materials in camps and prisons.
Mrs. Tijjani serves as the National President of the Foundation for the Protection of Women and Children in Nigeria and is a peace ambassador.
Islamic teachings encourage the spirit of compassion and altruism towards all humanity, regardless of faith, race and gender.
