Pakistan accuses India of involvement in recent terrorist attack in Balochistan

Pakistan’s interim Interior Minister, Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, has accused India of involvement in the suicide attack that targeted a mosque in Balochistan province on Friday and other terrorist attacks.

According to the ‘Dawn’ newspaper, Bugti accused the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of the Indian External Intelligence Agency of being involved in these attacks.

The newspaper quoted Bugti as saying: “For us, whoever plays the role of the mediator is the same as the one who does it, no matter what you call him, they are all of the same origin, and they are controlled from the same place, and the Indian Foreign Intelligence stands behind them.”

Bugti said that “RAW is behind all the major events that have taken place recently in Balochistan province, because the goal of this intelligence is to destabilize the situation in Pakistan,” but he did not provide any concrete evidence of Indian involvement in the terrorist attacks.

The Dawn newspaper, citing Pakistani medical sources, reported that the number of victims of the suicide bombing that took place in Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan has risen to 59 killed and 50 injured.

The Pakistani authorities believe that the explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber who detonated a bomb near a mosque where worshippers were gathered to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
