New Baghdad-Karbala Road opened for Arbaeen pilgrims

The High Committee of Arbaeen Pilgrimage in Iraq announced that the new road connecting Baghdad and Karbala will be opened today, Monday, September 4.

The committee’s statement adds that the new Baghdad-Karbala Road is equipped with traffic signs and will be secured by the Police for regular car traffic after being used by the pilgrims this year.

The committee has asked the people of Baghdad to use this new road in order to facilitate their journey to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
