Holy Najaf International Airport recieves over 80,000 passengers ahead of Arba’een Pilgrimage
The management of the Holy Najaf International Airport has revealed the number of flights that arrived to participate in the Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The airport information manager, Hussein Halboos, said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that “574 flights have arrived at the Holy Najaf International Airport until now, carrying more 80,000 passengers from around the world.”
Habloos added that “The flights are continuing to arrive at the airport until after the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, when the passage will be taken back to their countries.”
Millions of pilgrims, from Iraq and world countries, are heading towards the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, amid tight security and service plans.
