Romanian news agency recalls tragedy of Ashura

The Romanian “Rador” news agency recalled, on its world historical events portal, the eternal tragedy of Karbala and the martyrdom of the Prophet’s grandson, Imam Hussein bin Ali, peace be upon them.

The agency said in a report obtained by Karbala Center for Studies and Research, affiliated to Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and followed by Shia Waves Agency, that “the anniversary of the Ashura, which refers to the tenth day of the month of Muharram, is an occasion that was first recalled by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) himself on the tenth day of the sad month.

The report pointed out that “On this anniversary, the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, flock towards the holy city of Karbala, where they hold mourning ceremonies and rituals.”
