UN says more than 3.2 million people displaced in Sudan

Farhan Haq, the deputy spokesperson of the United Nations, warned of worsening health conditions throughout the African country of Sudan while announcing that more than 3.2 million people have been displaced inside this country.

Humanitarian agencies have placed more people in camps, border points and transportation centers to help identify malnutrition and provide other services, the UN official added.

World Food Program has distributed food shipments to 15,000 people in remote villages in Sudan, Mr. Haq further noted.
