Human rights organizations, activists condemn Saudi regime execution of Yemeni expatriates

Saudi human rights organizations have condemned the execution of two Yemeni expatriates by the Suadi authorities, based on trumped-up charges, stressing that the oppressive practices of the Saudi regime against the Yemeni expatriates must not go unpunished.

The Saudi authorities executed, last Saturday, two Yemeni expatriates on accusations that they had an affiliation to a terrorist group.

According to media outlets, the Saudi Ministry of Interior claimed in a statement: the Yemeni expatriates, Abdul Rahman Faris Al-Miri and Mohammed Salah Al-Miri, were executed based on charges of creating a terrorist network in Saudi Arabia, their affiliation to a terrorist group and their assassination of Saudi security men.

The deputy of the Saudi Minister of Expatriates Affairs, Zayed Al-Riyami had said earlier that, “89 Yemei expatriates have been executed in Saudi Arabia since 2014”, adding that, “Yemeni expatriates in Saudi Arabia are subjected to systematic oppression and brutal torture, and is not linked the war.”

He concluded that, “More than 300 Yemeni women are in Saudis prisons, where they are tortured”, stressing that, “the Saudi authorities illegally seize the properties of the Yemeni expatriates.”
