Five days of mourning gatherings were held in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), drawing large numbers of devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
During the gatherings, Allama Sheikh Muhammad Shifa al-Najafi delivered a series of religious lectures highlighting Lady Fatima al-Zahra’s virtues, her distinguished status in Islam and her position with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).
The lectures also examined her role in defending Islamic values, her suffering, and the patience and steadfastness she demonstrated. Participants were encouraged to draw lessons from her life, particularly in worship, piety, perseverance, family life and social responsibility.
The gatherings formed part of the Fatimiyya commemorations in Pakistan, aiming to preserve the memory of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), promote awareness of her teachings and strengthen the community’s spiritual and religious ties to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
