The Indonesian city of Batam will host the ASEAN Business Forum 2026 from September 22 to 24, bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and economic stakeholders to promote regional cooperation and strengthen connections with global markets.

The three-day international event will focus primarily on two key themes: the development of the halal economy and the advancement of women’s entrepreneurship.

According to reports by iDiplomacy, participants will discuss Indonesia’s growing potential in the global halal market, Batam’s strategic role as a halal trade hub, and mechanisms for obtaining internationally recognized halal certification.

The forum will also include national and international business matchmaking sessions designed to facilitate economic discussions, establish partnerships, sign cooperation agreements, and showcase products from participating companies.

The event is expected to bring together senior Indonesian government officials, halal industry authorities, international business representatives, and economic actors from across the region.

Organizers say the forum aims to strengthen ASEAN’s position in the global halal economy while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs, particularly women-led businesses, through expanded investment, trade cooperation, and regional networking.
