Followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in Amerli, Salah al-Din Governorate, commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) with mourning ceremonies held at his holy shrine on the seventh day of Safar.
The commemoration witnessed the participation of large numbers of pilgrims who traveled on foot to the shrine to join mourning processions and offer condolences on this solemn occasion. The ceremonies were held in an atmosphere of devotion, grief and spiritual connection to the Prophet’s family (peace be upon them).
Hussaini and service processions from several Iraqi provinces also took part in the event, providing various services for visitors as preparations continue across Iraq to receive pilgrims for the Arba’een pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The ceremonies were accompanied by security and service arrangements to organize the movement of visitors and ensure suitable conditions for performing religious rituals. A symbolic coffin representing Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) was carried during the commemoration, reaffirming the participants’ commitment to his teachings and recalling his efforts to defend Islam, preserve unity among Muslims and uphold the message of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
