Despite Ceasefire, Israeli Attacks in Lebanon Leave Over 3,000 Martyred

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon has risen to 3,020, with 9,273 injured, despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement. Dozens of new casualties were recorded in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry stated that Israeli operations, which have continued since March 2, 2026, have caused thousands of casualties. The updated figures reflect an increase from 2,988 to 3,020 fatalities and from 9,210 to 9,273 injuries.

The escalation coincides with the United States, sponsor of the Beirut-Tel Aviv negotiations, announcing a 45-day extension of the ceasefire, amid growing accusations that Israel is violating the truce through ongoing military operations within Lebanese territory.

Official Lebanese reports indicate that Israeli forces continue airstrikes, shelling, and demolition of homes and infrastructure in dozens of towns, particularly in southern Lebanon, causing widespread material damage and displacing over one million people since the outbreak of hostilities.

Data suggests that Israel maintains control over parts of southern Lebanon, some for decades, with its influence expanding up to 10 kilometers inside the southern border during the latest escalation, raising serious humanitarian and security concerns despite international efforts to contain the conflict.
