The Arsk Central Mosque has officially reopened following extensive restoration and modernization work, more than three decades after it was first built. The reopening ceremony took place on the 12th day of Ramadan and was attended by senior regional officials and religious leaders.

Among those present were Rustam Minnikhanov, Kamil Samigullin, and Almaz Khisamutdinov, along with other local authorities and members of the Muslim community.

Originally opened in 1993, the mosque is considered one of the prominent religious landmarks in Arsk. The complex also includes educational facilities such as the Tukay Educational Center, which began operations in 2022, and a Quran memorization center launched in 2025 to support religious education in the area.

The mosque recently underwent its first comprehensive renovation since its construction. Restoration work began in the spring of last year and included reinforcing structural walls, replacing doors, windows, electrical systems, and service utilities, as well as renovating the exterior façade and redesigning interior spaces. The project was completed in early February.

The two-storey mosque features separate entrances for men and women, main and secondary prayer halls, and several service rooms. Officials said the renovation aims to provide a more suitable environment for worshippers while expanding the mosque’s role in religious and educational activities in the region.
