Global Center of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Hosts Ramadan Gathering in Montreal

Shia Muslims residing in Montreal, Canada, held a night of prayer and supplication on Thursday to mark the holy month of Ramadan at the Global Center of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and the Iranian Islamic Center of Canada.

The ceremony, organized in Montreal, took place at the Global Center of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and the Iranian Islamic Center of Canada. The program included the recitation of one section (juz’) of the Qur’an before the Maghrib call to prayer, the performance of congregational prayers, and a communal iftar meal described as a “Divine Banquet.”

The event also featured a short speech, along with supplications and prayers, delivered by Hojjat al-Islam Sheikh Saleh Sibaway.

According to Shia Waves Agency, strong participation by members of the Shia community in Canada is expected to continue at the center’s programs during the remaining days of the holy month of Ramadan.
