Scottish Mosques Tighten Security After Islamophobic Incidents
—————————–
Mosques across Scotland have stepped up security measures following a series of Islamophobic threats and attacks on Islamic centers, Anadolu Agency reported.
The Glasgow Central Mosque is now under 24-hour protection after authorities foiled several anti-Muslim plots in recent weeks.
In recent months, mosques in Aberdeen and Elgin have been targeted in attacks, while the Islamic center in Newton Mearns has also reported threats against its community members.
Muslim leaders say the measures highlight growing concerns about the safety of worshippers and the urgent need for stronger protections for religious institutions.
