A convoy of Turkish armed forces moves along the Syria-Turkey border near Ras al-Ain in northeastern Syria’s Hassakeh province, Arab News reported.
On Thursday, Turkey announced that it has commenced training, consultancy, and technical support for the Syrian army as part of a military cooperation agreement signed last month.
According to a Turkish Defense Ministry source speaking at a briefing in Ankara, the accord between the defense ministries of both countries, signed in August, includes provisions for Turkey to supply Syria’s armed forces with military training, weapons, and logistical support.
The source also dismissed reports claiming that Israel had attacked Turkish equipment stationed in Syria, confirming that there have been no changes to Turkey’s personnel or military assets in northern Syria.
