At least 45 fighters from the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in two separate incidents in northwestern Pakistan, according to local officials. Security sources reported that more than 30 militants died late Friday when an improvised explosive device detonated inside a mosque in Hilki Charmang village, Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The fighters were allegedly assembling the device when it exploded, completely destroying the building.

In a separate operation in South Waziristan, Pakistani security forces killed at least 15 additional militants. Authorities confirmed that eight civilians, including women and children, were injured during the clashes. The Bajaur region has witnessed a sharp rise in deadly attacks in recent months.

In July, a local official was killed by a roadside bomb, while ongoing military operations have forced thousands of families to flee their homes, worsening humanitarian conditions. Officials warned that the incidents mark a dangerous escalation of TTP activity in the volatile border region.
