A powerful explosion in the suburbs of Syria’s Idlib province has left four people dead and five wounded. According to official Syrian reports and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the blast occurred at a foreign fighters’ ammunition depot and facility.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the site, and residents in the vicinity fled the area out of fear of further explosions. Emergency teams and civil defense units were dispatched to the scene, and hospitals issued an urgent appeal for blood donations.
The explosion’s proximity to Syrian refugee camps has raised concerns for civilian safety. The number of casualties is expected to increase as rescue efforts continue.
