Holy Najaf Hosts 11th Annual Conference for Arbaeen Women Preachers
…………………
Holy Najaf hosted the 11th annual conference for women preachers of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, with nearly 1,100 participants from across Iraq. The event aims to strengthen religious and cultural awareness among women in preparation for the major Arbaeen rituals.
The conference emphasized deepening female insight and reinforcing the mission-driven identity of women’s preaching, especially during significant religious seasons marked by large female participation.
Discussions focused on modernizing preaching methods to address contemporary social issues faced by women in daily life, work, education, and social relations. Participants stressed the importance of enhancing awareness among female pilgrims to counter attempts to distort the pilgrimage’s spiritual and cultural significance.
The conference highlighted loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt as a comprehensive system of understanding, steadfastness, and patience amid challenges.
Recommendations included building women’s confidence, promoting religious identity and hijab, and transforming the pilgrimage experience into a platform for education, remembrance, and value-based communication.
