Separatist Groups in Pakistan Respond to India’s Operation Sindoor Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Several separatist factions within Pakistan, including the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM), Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), and Pashtun groups, have voiced support for India’s recent Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan Air Force sites, Khaama Press reported.
Following the operation, attacks by separatist groups have surged, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The BLA claimed responsibility for over 70 attacks on May 11, targeting military convoys and infrastructure. Meanwhile, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has expanded its activities in these regions.
Protests in Sindh have also intensified, focusing on nationalist demands and water disputes. Analysts emphasize that without reforms addressing governance, autonomy, and minority rights, tensions are likely to persist, raising critical questions about Pakistan’s federal structure and regional stability.
