Freemuslim releases message on Int’l Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
The Freemuslim Association—an international anti-violence organization—released a statement on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, emphasizing the ongoing suffering of women as the most socially vulnerable group to various forms of violence.
In its statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the Freemuslim highlighted alarming statistics on violence against women, asserting that this group remains the weakest and most affected by physical and psychological violence worldwide, irrespective of the security, political, or economic conditions of their societies.
The statement pointed out the diverse forms of violence women face, including murder, displacement, enslavement, rape, coercion into unsuitable work, humiliation, sexual exploitation, and degradation, adding that these violations are not limited to Asian or African countries but also extend to European countries and the United States.
The organization reiterated its call for unified international efforts to ensure justice for women and safeguard their rights and dignity, stressing the importance of enacting binding international laws to eliminate all forms of violence against women.
