Sunni scholars from Turkey express happiness upon visiting holy shrine of Imam Hussein

A group of Sunni scholars from Turkey expressed their happiness at visiting the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Holy Karbala, Iraq.

They scholars considered the shrine to be the greatest place to spread the message of peace, love, and peaceful coexistence between Muslims and followers of other faiths.

During their visit to the holy shrine, they confirmed that they found Karbala to be completely different from what is published about it in biased media.

The head of the delegation, Sheikh Jaafar Darbandi, said in a statement to the media: “The Turkish delegation includes a number of senior Sunni scholars and lovers of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them, who came to have the honor of visiting the shrines of the Imams in Iraq.”

He continued: “The delegation carried an important message that includes calling for rapprochement between sects, rejecting sectarianism, peaceful coexistence, and getting acquainted with the religious, intellectual, and cultural heritage of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) through visiting their holy shrines.”
