Imam Ali Holy Shrine begins early preparations to celebrate blessed birth anniversary of Imam Ali
The Imam Ali Holy Shrine is preparing to celebrate the blessed birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, which will be marked on Thursday, the 13th of the current month of Rajab.
The Secretariat-General of the Holy Shrine stated on its website that “great efforts have been made for days in order to put the preparations in place to celebrate the blessed anniversary of the birth of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, at his holy shrine.”
It continued that “the first of these preparations is the green banners to be hung in the corridors of the Holy Shrine,” explaining that “the employees at the embroidery workshop continue their work to prepare and embroider various Alawi paintings.”
The holy shrine stated that “this work includes sewing and embroidering about (3,000) meters of the finest types of fabrics in various sizes,” adding that “the banners will be a total of (100 pieces) embroidered, which will be hung in the internal and external corridors of the Holy Haidari Hall.”
It pointed out that “among the paintings that are being embroidered is a large one with an area of (225 square meters) and it is the banner of the Golden Arcade in the Holy Shrine.”
It should be mentioned that Imam Ali’s Holy Shrine in Holy Najaf will witness a massive influx of visitors from inside and outside Iraq; to commemorate the great occasion.
